Dr. Lincoln A. Furuya

Dr. Lincoln A. Furuya has an unprecedented background in service and dedication. Graduating from Washington University in St. Louis in 1964, Dr. Furuya began with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  Thereafter, he served four years in the United States Air Force, where he was assigned to the Air Force Systems Command at Rome Air Development Center as an Electronics Engineer. After serving as the Project Engineer for the Air Force Satellite Communication System, he completed his service with the Air Force as a Captain in 1968. He then went on to pursue his degree in Dentistry, graduating from the University of Southern California in 1973, and completing his Certificate in Orthodontics in 1975. At that time, Dr. Furuya continued to serve, this time in the United States Naval Reserve. His remarkable talents afforded him the honor of serving as Commanding Officer of Reserve Dental Units for several years, and by serving as an Executive Officer for another Naval Reserve Unit. His unparalleled service led him to being named Outstanding Naval Reserve Dentist in 1984. In 1995, after 21 years of service, Dr. Furuya retired as a Captain from the United States Naval Reserve. Today, Dr. Lincoln A. Furuya dedicates his remarkable talents to providing happy, healthy smiles to Oahu.
